Research Interests
Ashot’s main research interests include causality of Fears, Worry, and Anxiety Disorders; Psychotherapy for Phobias and Anxiety and Obsessive Compulsive Spectrum Disorders (respectively scrupulosity); Provision of psychological support to the victims of improper influence in non-traditional religious organisations. Ashot is an author and co-author a series of scientific articles/papers on Personality Psychology, Psychology of Religion and Psychotherapy.
Clinical Interests
Ashot’s clinical interests mainly include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Existential Therapy. In general, he practices psychotherapy in the framework of the Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
Education
Ashot started his education at Armenian State Pedagogical University after Kh. Abovyan where he graduated with a PsyS in Psychology (qualifications: Forensic Psychologist; Psychologist-Pedagogue). Currently he is studying at the University Bielefeld.
